fried bananas with honey-nut sauce

4 srvs, 1/2 cup ea
2 bananas*, peeled
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup walnuts
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
*very ripe plantains may also be used
- cut bananas in half lengthwise or sliced diagonally.
- heat butter in skillet over medium heat, add bananas and cook until lightly browned on both sides.
- combine honey, nuts and cinnamon and pour over bananas.
- cook until sauce is warmed, turning bananas carefully to coat with sauce.
- serve warm.
